Meet Timothy Rountree

“Something she said rang true …”

Timothy’s first case as a child abuse detective was a tough one. He remembers listening to a teenage girl’s hysterical outcry. She seemed dramatic and over-the-top—like she was just seeking attention.

But he believed her.

Because he had been there.

They arrested her abuser, closed the case, and Timothy discovered his life’s calling.

Today Timothy is a senior child abuse detective, a pastor, a husband, and a father. But there was a time when he thought none of that would be possible. There was a time when he didn’t want to live.

Timothy’s story is one of hope, redemption, and love. Today, when he tells someone who is suffering that God is good and there is hope—it means something because he has faced the darkness. And by the grace of God, he is overcoming.
